How I Got AdSense Approval?
To be honest I got AdSense approval in my first attempt. Before applying for AdSense like you all I also have read various horrifying posts about AdSense approval but it was all in vein. What I read was: minimum number of posts should be 15+ or 20+, domain should be 6 months old, active site and all sorts of things. But all that turned out to be a crap. This is because I got AdSense approval in first attempt itself and less than month old domain. Moreover my blog was live just 5 days before I got AdSense approval and it just had 5 posts. So you see getting an AdSense approval is not a big deal. But one thing which matters for getting approval is that your site must contain original content. This is the basic need for getting AdSense approval. Moreover, I am listing below few of the details and criteria which you should follow to be on the safer side. So let’s start with some basics.
What is AdSense?
I know almost everyone know about AdSense but I am recapitulating for those who are not or unsure about AdSense.
Google AdSense is one of the most established system which works at pay per click system. Initially AdSense approval was given to everyone who used Google BlogSpot to make their blogs but as time passed and Google AdSense became popular and competitive thus rules and regulations changed and AdSense became strict. This was done to ensure advertisers safety.
There is no doubt the name ‘Google’ speaks for itself and its legitimacy. All around the globe there are hundreds of thousands of blogs and website owners who are using AdSense and are satisfied by what it offers. Initially checkout used to take some time but with modern instalments like western union, made this process faster.
You might know that there are so many bloggers and website owners who are earning huge amount of money and making a living out of it. Not to forget, it’s paying rates are superior to all the other networks. This is the reason that they are so competitive.
Before Applying for AdSense [To Do]
It is also a must criterion for getting approved AdSense account. This page tells the Google and your visitors about your track record and personality. An about page has great importance in getting AdSense approval. An effective ‘About’ page can make things easier. This doesn’t mean that you should tell everything about yourself in About Page. This page should describe your blog and a little about you.
If you are making a blog or website, it’s obvious that readers will try to reach you for something or the other. If you don’t have any contact method for your blog then there can be no easy conversation which will prove to be a barrier in building relationship with your readers.
When you submit your application for AdSense, it verifies all your track records. Most suitable place to put a little detail about you is ‘About’ page. It helps Google in cross checking the details.
You should have your own domain name if you are taking AdSense seriously. Getting AdSense approval on sub-domain is next to impossible. Why wasting time in sub-domain when you can get your own name and make a brand at just $1.5 form Godaddy or Bigrock. Just getting a .com domain is not enough. You should be creative while choosing a domain. Keep in mind that domain should be easy to spell and memorise. It can give you immense success.
There is no clear cut answer to this question. Everything is may or may not be. I am saying this because I got AdSense approval at just 5 posts while I have seen various blogs having more than 300 or 350 posts still not getting approval. So you might be thinking what’s the cause for this difference. It just one simple thing, ‘content’. If you have genuine, unique, informative, and understandable content then AdSense will welcome you instead of rejecting.
Design and layout
As everyone know that the first impression is the last impression. The first thing what AdSense will be looking at is the design and layout of your blog or website. One more point to notice is that your site or blog layout should be such that you can reach from any corner to every corner. This means your website should be accessible from every point.
Again, no particular answer for this. It ranges from 500-3000 or even more. So just try to produce posts having length not less than 500 words.
Nature of content is very essential. Google AdSense is very strict about content. It will not entertain any illegal content like porn, pirated items, drugs and so on. Duplicate content is another cause for AdSense rejection.
After Getting Disapproval [To Do]
Most bloggers feel frustrated when they don’t get AdSense approval and feel like their blogging career is over. This should be changed. AdSense is just the only way of earning. There are various alternatives to it.
Media.net is the best competitor to Google AdSense. Powered by Yahoo and Bing network media.net is the best alternative for Google AdSense. Moreover it’s not that difficult to get media.net approval.
Just like AdSense, Chitaka is also a CPC program which show ads based on your content. It also offers owners authorisation to customize the look of their ad like changing colour, border size etc.
Bidvertiser is another alternative for AdSense. It also functions the same way as AdSense does. It offers all types if ad’s including text ads, banner ads, mobile ads and animation ads. Bidvertiser also you a chance to make money by promoting customized toolbar.
Infolinks is the greatest advertiser in in-text advertising which offers attractive 70% revenue. It has various advantages like it uses less space which is good if you are on shared hosting. It can also be used with other networks. It offers various payments methods like PayPal, wire transfer, check, western union and more.
Probable Causes For Rejection?
The first thing which people think after getting disapproval mail is that where they went wrong and what’s the fault. So I am listing below all the possible causes when AdSense will disapprove your request.
The first cause for getting AdSense disapproval is insufficient content. You will not be able to get AdSense approval if you try to post numerous articles having short length. Instead you should post few articles with long and meaningful content. Keep in mind that its content quality which matters the most. This should not be misunderstood that posting 50 words content will do because it would not provide enough value to the visitors. Google also rejects the blog if it contains illegal content. Grammatical and spelling mistakes are another cause for AdSense disapproval. Overall I can say, a poorly written content won’t do any good neither to visitors nor you so AdSense straightaway rejects your application.
Doing malpractices like keyword stuffing, buying backlinks, backdoor pages, and buying traffic are some of things which Google don’t want. So indulging in these practices would get you rejection and only rejection.
As I already told you that first impression is the last impression. If your blog doesn’t look neat and clean and somewhat professional then it gives a negative sign to Google. Not just your blog should be nice and clean but it should also be easy to navigate from one point to another.
Google lays down various policies for the bloggers like unique content, meaningful content, organic traffic, no duplicate content, sufficient content, nice layout and navigation etc. If you didn’t follow any of those and you are out. Just follow the policies laid down by them and enjoy success coming your way.
After Getting Approval [Not To Do]
If you got AdSense approval, then its not all. Getting AdSense approval is one thing and keeping the contract going with Google is another. So I am listing below few things which shouldn’t be done after getting approved AdSense account.
Own Ad Clicking
You must never click your own ad otherwise you might face termination. Don’t use any bot or some sort of software for clicking your own ad. If you are intelligent then big G is super intelligent. So forget about fooling Google.
Black Hat Techniques
Don’t use any malpractices for getting higher rankings like keyword stuffing, link farming, doorway pages, clocking and title stacking. Failure at following the rules will either get you suspended or permanently banned.
Camouflaging Ads with the background so that it doesn’t appear to people and you get misclicks on them is categorized under click fraud and it will lead to sure termination. Your earned revenue will be held under this circumstance.
Google has strict policies and you must follow them. You should not disclose much about Google like how much were you paid per click or per keyword and so on. I would recommend you to read AdSense policies thoroughly.
Ad specific pages
Don’t create pages specifically for displaying ads. You should create pages only for your content and leave the rest to Google.
I am again repeating, if you are smart then Google is starter. So always use ethical ways and think twice before you act.
